Georgia and Manaia had booked The Glasshouse Raglan for their intimate wedding with just a handful of their friends and their two golden retrievers. Coastal Elopement Co was booked to style and coordinate their elopement, so I was thrilled and excited to photograph this beautiful day. Don't get me wrong, I love all kids of weddings, big or small, but to know there are going to be some stellar wedding vendors involved always get me so excited.
Georgia and Manaia wanted to have an intimate celebration with just a handful of people. Their intimate ceremony took place on the lawn, with their champagne tower, cake cutting and styled table set out on the deck. Their two labradors joined for most of the day, being the natural posers for our photoshoot and making everyone smile. For the second part of our shoot we jumped across the road for uninterrupted views of the ocean. After finding a little shelter from the rain underneath the only tree around, we were able to continue our shoot in the softest light with he most beautiful surroundings.
Being part of intimate elopements always fills me with a profound sense of gratitude and humility. Each time I’m invited to witness and capture these deeply personal moments, I’m reminded of just how special and unique these celebrations are.
There’s something incredibly moving about being included in the inner circle of such a close-knit group on the most significant day of their lives. It’s a privilege to not only witness their vows and shared joy but also to capture these fleeting, intimate moments that they will cherish forever. The trust that couples place in me to document their love story in such a personal setting is something I never take for granted.
