It has been awesome following the journey of Alecia and Manu. First, they came to Raglan with their little man for some family portraits. It ended up in a small disaster! Their baby was not having a ball of it and I felt so bad for them, thinking they might have had different expectations of their shoot. But being a parent myself now, I get it. Lower your expectations and everything will be fine! My new life motto. When they contacted me again to be their coromandel wedding photographer I was over the moon. I love having a real connection with my couples and always try and meet up before their big day. Watching them exchange vows with now two cute little people at their feet was just the best.
I have always had a soft spot for whangamata. It is my go to place (that and Opoutere) when my family and I need a little weekend away. It’s easy to get used to the beautiful white sandy beach, stunning nature and laid-back holiday vibe the town has. And that is exactly what Alecia and Manu are all about themselves, so it came to no surprise they wanted to incorporate all those elements into their wedding. They had a beautiful flower arch and nature as their ceremony backdrop. It was simply beautiful. To top it off we were treated with a gorgeous sunset dipping behind the hills. in the distance. The awesome vendors involved made sure everything looked pretty damn gorgeous too.
